Pilot for the differentiated collection of recyclable waste at 19 points of sale of the Fybeca and Sana Sana brands in Quito.

As of August 28, 2024, a recyclable waste collection program was implemented at 29 points of sale of the Fybeca and Sana Sana brands in Quito. This project involves the participation of basic recyclers in the sector, who, every fortnight, remove the recyclable waste accumulated at these points of sale.

In this collection pilot, 38 waste pickers from the associations Sonreír, Eugenio Espejo and For a Better Future benefit, as well as the group of waste pickers from the Pillajo family and the group of recyclers from the Toaquiza family. They are responsible for collecting the recyclable materials and transporting them to their respective collection centers, where the classification and weighing of the material is carried out.
