The December holidays bring about a significant increase (between 25% and 30%) in waste generation. Why not turn this statistic into an opportunity for recyclable/returnable waste, and at the same time, to recycle with basic recyclers?
At ReciVeci, we aim to change this reality, which is why we launched our ReciFestividades line, an initiative aimed at recovering recyclable waste in homes, premises and businesses.
How does ReciFestivities work in December 2023?
We offer two free material retrieval and collection options* for Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil:
- Collection of recyclable materials at Christmas dinners:
This option is aimed at companies, offices or family dinners. We recover your recyclable material generated at dinner or party and do the collection on site on selected days together with basic recyclers.
- Recovery of recyclable material at generating points:
This option is aimed at bars, restaurants, hotels and other material generators. We carry out weekly collection routes and collect the material directly at your place or generator point with basic recyclers.
Collection route dates:
These days, the ReciVeci team, together with basic recyclers, will make routes to remove the material in the three cities: Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil.
- Sunday, December 03.
- Monday, December 18
- Tuesday, December 26th.
- Tuesday, January 02.
We recommend that you keep the material clean, dry and sorted in covers for delivery.
With this, we support inclusive recycling.
Both collection options are made with basic recyclers, whom ReciveCI pays for their material collection service, in addition to delivering the material free of charge to be sold and returned to recycling chains. They receive 100% of these profits. With this link between generating points and basic recyclers, ReciveCI promotes the recognition and dignification of their work, while preventing them from recovering material by mining in the garbage. This is called inclusive recycling.
What material do you receive?
- Bottles and containers PET plastic, HDPE.
- Green, clear and amber glass bottles and containers (not blue, or painted bottles).
- Cardboard (without excess fat).
- Paper (without excess fat).
- Clean and dry Tetra Pak® containers.
- Aluminum cans for beverages and preserves.
If you want us to remove your recyclable material this Christmas, enter your details in this form to include in our free collection routes.
Finally, although we launched this line at Christmas time, we want to highlight that this service will be available at any time of the year. Where there is a point that generates recyclable waste, we can be there as ReciveCI to prevent it from being wasted.
