At ReciVeci we believe that recycling is only sustainable when is built through collaboration. That's why we signed a joint working agreement with the Networks with a Face Foundation, an organization with extensive experience in community strengthening and in circular economy processes in urban and rural territories.
This alliance is based on a shared vision of paddling to the same side to achieve an inclusive, innovative and sustainable recycling system. For us, it means joining complementary efforts. At ReciVeci, we provide innovation and formal services through ReciApp®, the statements and tools that make the work of basic recyclers visible and professionalized. For its part, Fundación Redes con Rostro, adds its experience of more than four years in community organization, capacity building, working in the territory and generating opportunities of shared value.
An example of this collaborative work are the ReciEventos, spaces in which recyclers and recyclers linked to the Networks with a Face Foundation they play a fundamental role. They are the ones who collect the recyclable material, ensure that it returns to the production chain and receive 100% of what was recovered. In these spaces, ReciVeci also financially recognizes its collection service, because it is not just about materials, but about people.
The results show that when we join forces, significant environmental and social impacts are generated. With the recovery of recyclable materials, it is possible to avoid the felling of trees, the extraction of crude oil and the emission of tons of CO₂. All this while ensuring a fair income for basic recyclers.
This alliance marks a path that begins in Guayaquil and that seeks to expand. The collaboration between ReciveCI and Redes con Rostro is neither one-off nor temporary. It's a long-term bet to build inclusive recycling together, where innovation and community organization complement each other to demonstrate that another way of managing waste is possible.
