On July 3, 4 and 5, 2023, ReciVeci was invited to participate in the launch of the Coca-Cola's “Allies” platform in Antigua, Guatemala. This platform, which will be known as “Together” in Ecuador, has as its main objective to connect initiatives, efforts and ideas from all over the region in socio-environmental matters and will work on three key axes:
- Allies for water.
- Partners for recycling.
- Allies for economic empowerment.
ReciveCI was one of the three initiatives invited to represent Ecuador, and the only one in the country invited to speak on a panel. Lorena Gallardo, Co-founder and Technology and Innovation Manager of ReciVeci, was representing the company and sharing in the Innovation Panel knowledge and experiences from ReciVeci and ReciApp, in the field of sustainability and inclusive recycling.
The launch of Aliados was an event of great importance that brought together important personalities at the business level in the region, but also profiles such as Rigoberta Menchu, a Guatemalan indigenous leader, winner of a Nobel Peace Prize and a leader in human rights activism. From his talk, we were left with the importance of Joining efforts with the private sector to achieve change that transcend in the fight for environmental conservation.
As part of the activities in which we participated, there was the Innovation and Co-creation Workshop where we were able to present ideas and proposals for the future of this collaborative platform, and also the visit to the inauguration of a waste transfer and segregation center in the Municipality of Antigua, Guatemala.
ReciVeci's participation in the launch of Aliados is a testament to our commitment to working hand in hand with companies looking for ways to assume their environmental responsibility. Congratulations! for these initiatives and let's continue creating networks to build a more sustainable Latin America and world.
