ReciVeci participates in the "Sustainability in Action" Forum in Ibarra

Last Thursday, November 28, ReciVeci had the honor of participating in the "Sustainability in Action" Forum, organized by the NGO Ayuda en Acción in the city of Ibarra. This event brought together various stakeholders to reflect and dialogue on the circular economy and responsible consumption as pillars for a sustainable future.

Lorena Gallardo, co-founder and Manager of Technologies and Innovations at ReciVeci, represented the company in the panel "Economic Empowerment of Women: Challenges and Opportunities from an Environmental and Rights Perspective." In her remarks, she emphasized that "women do not have to overcome barriers; it is the system that must adapt and mainstream gender policies. Society must open these job opportunities for women."

During this event, she shared the stage with esteemed panelists such as Betty Benavides, representative of the Cantonal Council for the Protection of Rights, and Laura Guanoluisa, Vice President of RENAREC (National Network of Recyclers of Ecuador), Daniela Suárez, from Entrejardines, and Ruth Bolaños as the moderator. The panel discussed how the circular economy can be a driver of change to generate economic opportunities, especially for women, and how an environmental and rights-focused approach plays a key role in this process.

From ReciVeci, we thank Ayuda en Acción for the invitation to this event and celebrate the existence of dialogue spaces that promote sustainable development. We are convinced that, as a country, we can build a solid path towards the integration of the circular economy in all areas of society. Let’s continue working together for a more sustainable future!
