ReciVeci® brought its inclusive recycling model to Peru in partnership with CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, consolidating its regional presence and its capacity to implement circular economy initiatives with social impact in various Latin American countries.
On May 21st, ReciVeci® organized a Reciclatón at CAF's offices in Lima, Peru, with the aim of promoting proper waste separation, strengthening the recycling culture among employees, and integrating grassroots recyclers into the management of recovered materials.
Lthe activity brought together 20 participants and resulted in the recovery of hundreds of kilograms of recyclable materials, including paper, cardboard, glass, and plastics, which will be reincorporated as raw material into new production processes.
One of the main components of the event was the direct participation of grassroots recyclers from the La Unión Association, who were in charge of sorting and weighing the materials. This interaction allowed participants to get closer to the reality of inclusive recycling and to recognize the fundamental role played by those who recover recyclable materials in cities.
For ReciVeci®, this experience represents a new step in the expansion of its circular economy solutions beyond Ecuador, supporting regional organizations that seek to generate measurable environmental and social impacts through responsible waste management programs.
The Reciclatón held in Lima was the second experience developed by ReciVeci® together with CAF. The first took place in January 2026 in Quito, Ecuador. These initiatives reflect ReciVeci®'s ability to implement inclusive recycling programs in various contexts across the region, working alongside organizations committed to sustainability and social inclusion.
