On August 20, we participated in the launch of the first Puntonet Sustainability Report 2024, a milestone that celebrates more than 20 years of commitment to digital inclusion, innovation and sustainability in Ecuador.
During the event, Puntonet shared the main achievements achieved in 2024, which highlighted the participation of allies, including ReciVeci with whom they have prioritized the proper management of their waste, they also announced their “Connecting Communities” program, with which it brought free internet to more than 4,000 families in schools, foundations and rural areas, installing more than 2,000 km of optical fiber in the country. In addition, he highlighted the responsible management of electronic waste and the move towards a circular economy, reusing 100% of hazardous waste and 75% of non-hazardous waste.
In this space, ReciVeci® received recognition for the joint work carried out through the Recicorp® service, through which we collect and revalue the recyclable waste generated at the Puntonet headquarters in Quito and Guayaquil. This service directly benefits basic recyclers and recyclers, who recover 100% of the material and reincorporate it into production chains, preventing it from ending up in landfills or landfills. Representing ReciVeci® were Sofía Baque, Head of Alliances and Impact Projects, and Geovana Polo, Strategic Development Manager, who participated in the event and reaffirmed our commitment to continue working with allies who promote an inclusive and responsible waste management model.
For ReciVeci®, this recognition reaffirms that sustainability is a shared commitment where companies, citizens and grassroots waste pickers can promote real change when we join forces.
We will continue working so that every bottle, carton or recycled material also means better living conditions for those who they make recycling possible in our country. We invite more companies to join this transformation and to bet on an inclusive and responsible waste management model.
