Now you can find a ReciveCi recycling station in Palenque House, a cultural and meeting space for arts and popular expressions located in the historic center of the city of Quito.
The purpose of this recycling station is simple yet powerful: collect recyclable materials to contribute to recycling while supporting the work of grassroots recyclers. Among the materials that can be deposited at this station are: plastic and glass bottles, cans, cardboard and Tetra Pak®, and must be delivered clean and dry to ensure effective recycling.
Once you deposit your recyclable materials at the station, the staff of the House will be responsible for delivering them directly to basic recyclers. Not only does this help keep our environment clean, but it also supports the women and men who make a living from collecting these materials. In addition, as always, it is important to note that this is a material that they will not have to collect by mining garbage in unsanitary and unsafe conditions, so its value increases and promotes inclusive recycling.
In our mission to continue connecting citizens with grassroots waste pickers, at ReciVeci we remain open to finding spaces where we can contribute to community and inclusive recycling. If you have a space where you would like to have one of our recycling stations, contact us!
The next time you visit Casa Palenque, not only enjoy its unique cultural environment, but also contribute to a more sustainable future. Carrea sustainably and responsibly with ReciVeci and Casa Palenque!
