On January 17, 2024, reporter Arturo Barriga and Ecuador TV's Mundo Positivo program visited the Glass Hub to report on this center that reactivates glass recovery in the center-north of the country.
This project is promoted by O-I Cridesa and managed by ReciVeci, and allows us to connect this incredible and valuable material with recycling chains; glass being infinite and completely recyclable, it was a material that was being wasted in the center-north of the country until the opening of this Hub.
From ReciVeci, we thank Ecuador TV, the Mundo Positivo program and Arturo Barriga for this report. We want all of Ecuador to know about the Glass Hub!
We remind basic recyclers, intermediaries and the general public that here we buy glass in retail and bulk, specifically bottles, jars and containers made of green, transparent and amber glass.
This glass will be stored in the Glass Hub until it is then sent to the facilities of O-I Cridesa, the company that processes most of the glass in the country and which is located in Guayaquil.
We continue to strengthen inclusive recycling and the circular economy in the country with concrete actions!
